Historic background of the school
The school tresses its beggining in 1932 when it started as ahumble church school at kagamba hill with only two classes.It was later transfered to kitunga as a primary school.
Muntuyera highschool was started as kitunga senior secondary school in 1965 as aco-educational school though one girl managed to complete senior four.
